Premiere of LaRK Dance Company

LaRK Dance Company will be having its debut performance at the Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) this Friday and Saturday at 8 PM. LaRK was founded by Lisa Krinsky, a Barnard 2006 graduate and friend of mine. In addition to taking several dance classes with Lisa, I had the privilege of performing in a piece that she choreographed for the Barnard/Columbia student-run dance organization. Working with her was a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, and I’m certain she’s doing a wonderful job leading her new company, infusing it with her talent, creativity, and fresh ideas. There are lots of well-established dance companies out there, but it’s still important to support the new, blossoming ones! See the performance information above for details.
