NYCB Launches a YouTube Channel

From the New York City Ballet press release: “Having a clear and well-branded presence on YouTube provides an opportunity for us to reach out to a broader audience in a consistent way,” says Kristin Sloan, NYCB’s Director of New Media.

Well said, Kristin!  Check out the full press release on the company’s website, and then click here to see the NYCB YouTube page and introductory video, which includes short interviews with a variety of dancers and artistic staff, shots of Lincoln Center, and snippets of the dancers in rehearsals and performances.  This is another step in the right direction to make the company more accessible and visible online.  I’m looking forward to more video diaries and watching the development of this online initiative.

Warning: The City Ballet YouTube channel is addictive. Thanks for telling me about it!
