The inventive American artist Robert Rauschenberg died last night at the age of 82, according to the NY Times. In addition to being a painter, photographer, and sculptor, Rauschenberg also designed sets and costumes for choreographers Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, and Trisha Brown beginning in the 1950s. He even choreographed and danced in his own works. Read the full NY Times article here, and check out the slideshow, which features photographs of the artist and his work.
