Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet‘s Project 52 is a new documentary of one-minute segments over the course of a year that allows viewers to learn about the dancers and inner workings of the company. This week’s video features dancer Jubal Battisti, rehearsing and discussing his experience improvising on tasks and movement phrases from Jill Johnson’s upcoming installation, The Copier. Sixty seconds might seem short, but it’s packed with interesting footage and insight, and is just enough time to spark viewers’ curiosity without being too long or boring. You can watch all of the Project 52 segments here, with new ones posted every Monday.
